After the Plantation, I went to Fort Frederica on St. Simons Island. It is right next to Jekyll Island. That had a toll so I’ll save that for next time.
The grounds were beautiful. The entire city was burned and all the shops and houses foundations were left and you can walk all down the streets and see remnants of how they lived. It’s definitely worth the stop.
It was a beautiful area with lots of causeways and swamps. Very foggy when I left this morning.
$60 more in gas. I don’t know how these big rigs do it!
I will go to St. Augustine and see Ponce deLeon and his Fountain of Youth.🤪
