I was hoping 2024 would start off special. In reality, I was nursing a broken toe from a slip on the snorkel boat trying to re-adjust my swim skirt. My toe hit the captain’s shoe and look like a letter C.
It looked pretty freakish and then I flicked it back to straighten it out. So I hobbled back to the ship.
When we landed in New Orleans I drove to Lafayette LA and had it x-rayed.
Sure enough, I broke it.
Do they put me in a boot and just
buddy wrapped it. Had a small bone chip where it clicked back together and swelled up.
I iced it, and Urgent Care gave me some pain meds. It’s my right driving foot, so it took some getting used to driving with it.
But I made it to Quartzsite.
I will follow up in Phoenix. My friend Myra lives in Chandler, so she took very good care of me and let me stay at her place.
Made it to Quartzsite.
