Well, I don’t recommend it for the summer! Way to humid!
I have been looking for a permanent place to live for 9 years while I rattled around the country.
I sold the house in 2018 and headed out for adventure.
After several years on the road I bought a park model at Lake Erie But I had to leave every year in October when they shut down. Because it’s so freaking cold up there and you always had to winterize or come back to a
house full of busted pipes.
Luckily, that never happened to me because I always winterized it.
It was just a pain to pack up all your belongings, including sewing machines and cricket machines to do crafting on the road.
So in April, I went back to the Lake. Has started making a plan to move some place warmer.
It was amazing packing up a 3 bedroom house in boxes, and I stored them in a 16′ pod in May!
A lovely couple bought my park model and I set out to find a new home.
I went to Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida.
I rattled around Florida For weeks trying to decide which coast I wanted to live on in which was less likely of getting hit by a hurricane.
I knew I love the rocket launches at Cape Canaveral so I settled on the East coast of Florida. I tried to get as close as I could to the Cape but boy was it expensive down there.
So I headed north a little, about 1.5 hrs from the Cape. I did not wanna be anywhere near Orlando.
During that time of searching, I stayed at the Ocala National Forest.
It was beautiful in the trees. But I knew I had to keep looking at the maps to see what was around there.
I went to Ocala to a Coachmen rally to meet up with fellow Beyond owners.
It was a fun time and met people from all over the country.
I happen to be on tiny home living sites and saw a little community called Crescent City. It was right on a lake called Crescent Lake.
The first place I visited was the library. Then the bank, Then the post office, And gas station.
The Winn-Dixie market is right across the street, and you can walk to it.
The community is 55+ and very quiet. It is right off Route 17 so a tad noisy but I have the machines buzzing so it doesn’t bother me.
There was a 2 bedroom 2 Bath park model. That was just perfect for my sewing room. So I jumped on it.
It is a 2022 model built by Champion Homes and it very well laid out. I didn’t need a huge living room and the master bedroom became my sewing room.
The smaller bedroom has a twin bed and is on the opposite side of the house so I don’t even hear the traffic.
It just fit my style.
The rent for the lot was within my budget. So I had the pod delivered an unloaded it in two days.
They came and picked it up. And I had room for the van and the prius in the front.
My neighbor is a single guy who has tiny car. And he was so nice that we can share the parking area.
There are no lot lines here. I was told by the owner so we worked out. I would give him as much spaces I could. So far so good!
The other neighbor is moving their park model and so I will have a big empty lot next to me..
There is an active spring which runs behind my house.
The house came with a barbecue area and a tiny shed for all my yards stuff. They do mow the yard which is included with the rent.
We have mailboxes in a central location and a dock to watch the launches. Night launches are the best.
The bugs are too bad right now, so this will be my first fall in one place.
I am not sure if I will make it too Arizona or not this winter, but I will work on it. Lots of friends are looking forward to meeting up in Arizona in the desert again.
I have signed up for 3 craft shows in the area so I’m looking forward to those.
The first one is this Saturday called Bike Fest, so a lot of bikers will be passing through.
I made Cheesz-it’s sticky notes and bookmarks. I don’t know how many read but I liked the graphic. Lol

Hope these sell! Happy trails!
