Sun is out!! Supposed to be 80°. I think it is the official start to summer. Finally.
It seemed like an extra long wet spring. Water is still very high at the lake.
Then the fog rolled in.
And then this happened.
Needless to say, we had to go inside about 5 minutes later. They are giant mosquitoes.
Will have to get the grilling done earlier before they show up again about 7pm.

Jan, I don’t think you are seeing Canadian Soldiers (also called Mayflies). They aren’t due for another month. We are inundated with midges, which also come from the lake. They were swarming last night, millions of them. Really creepy.

I don’t care what they’re called we called them Canadian soldiers growing up here. And they are swarming and all over the side of my windows
