I skipped a few days getting ready to head to Newark Ohio to bury my sister who died on Saturday September 19th of pancreatic cancer.
We really have to find a cure for this disease. It made the last 2 years of her life miserable. Chemo radiation and tons of pills.
She fought a very good fight. But in the end she is pain free and was laid to rest on Thursday.
Tonight is the viewing in Newark, Ohio.
Some good buddies from high school came and it was good to see them. My good friend and her sister, Mickey and Sandi also came. Sandi was part of a group of gals called the Golden Girls who had been very supportive of Lynne during her journey of chemo.
They would send flowers, cards, take her out to dinner, and do all kinds of things to keep her mind off of her situation.
She really appreciated these Golden Girls from high school.
She received a lot of flowers because gardening was her Passion.

Happy trails until we meet again.
It is nice that your sister had the Golden Girls.
