Sleep…it’s a wonderful thing.

My sleep pattern is all mixed up because of moving boxes around and feeling so tired but not falling asleep till midnight by trying to catch up on general hospital on hulu and other YouTube videos.

Since giving my Fit Bit app, I’m learning more and more about how important sleep is for us.

It had a very good article on the guidelines for sleep. It is as followers:

The younger a person is, the more sleep they require—that’s because sleep directly impacts mental and physical development. Counting naps and nighttime snoozing, newborns typically need to sleep between 14 to 17 hours a day, toddlers need about 11 to 14 hours, preschoolers require 10-13 hours, school age children need 9 to 11 hours, and teenagers require between 8 and 10.

Adults are recommended 8 hours a night. What you do to prepare for sleep is just as important as the sleep itself.

They recommend starting than hour before you want to fall asleep by putting your digital items to bed, Brushing your teeth, Going to the bathroom And doing a Relaxation activity like meditating or deep breathing or reading a book. Nothing with a blue light so forget the Kindle.

Do this for 30 minutes to one hour before you doze off and it will work.

The reward is waking up refreshed and having your batteries recharged in your body.

I have to work on my Circadian rhythm.

Meanwhile my cousin Jim is deer hunting from his deer stand somewhere in Ohio and sent me these pictures. Good luck Trapper Jim!

20′ drop
