Woke up at 7:30. Since transfer station opens then too, I figured I’d get a jump start on the day.
I took the trash, went to Dollar General and got Water at the water kiosk. I also got gas.

Quartzsite is sooo empty! I wanted to get heading east but wanted to get the Amazon packages before the town folds up for the Spring.
It gets to be a ghost town when all the RVers (snowbirds) leave to head back to their states and countries.
Wind died down so when I came back to my site, I decided to go geocaching in the area. Found a few.

This one was stuck in a tree with jumping cactus on top of it. Of course, I reached my hand right into one trying to get the cache. Wrong thing to do. I had to use my pen to unstick it from my thumb! That hurt!
You just have to look at those choilla cactus and they jump right on ya.
I wrote my trail name on the log inside and replaced the container. Used a stick this time!

I also found some other strange things while walking around. You never know what you are going to find in the desert.

Happy trails.
