Beautiful but cool day watching boat people. Two couples brought their boats to the lake.

Ron and Diane have a homemade boat and a kayak and Don and Rose have a Hobie catamaran. I had not seen one of those since 1973 on a visit to Hawaii.

I love the solitude of walking around the lake and watching the kayaks and meeting new people.
There is so much to do when doing nothing.
This lake is called Senator Wash in Winterhaven CA. It is just on the other side of the Colorado River from Arizona.
It is a nice change from the dust of the desert.
I think I’ll stay a while. You are allowed 2 weeks in and 2 weeks out with the Arizona pass. This is a $75 permit you get at the entrance building that is good for a year. You can stay at several other areas in Arizona too. They give you a map.

You can use the facilities, dump your tanks, get water, and take a shower. Pretty good deal.

Happy trails.
I love your sentence – “There is so much to do when doing nothing.” And I like “Heaven” on your picture. This is the essence of camping, and why I love it so much. Enjoy your heaven!
